Amanda Monette has been teaching piano in Peace River for over 20 years.   She holds a certificate in Elementary Piano Pedagogy and her grade 9 piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music.   Professional development is important to her, therefore she attends workshops and takes courses throughout every year.  As a piano teacher, Amanda loves to encourage the love of music through fun and interactive piano lessons.  Her goal as piano teacher is to introduce the elements of music through games, written theory and piano playing.  Her piano lesson year runs from September to May, and students from age 4 to adult are welcome in her studio.  Music Theory and History are incorporated into every piano lesson.  If needed, Theory can be taught alone.  Students wishing to complete exams through RCM will be able to continue their lessons until the exam date in either June or August.  For enjoyment, Amanda plays piano for a worship team in her church, enjoys playing duets with a fellow cellist, is a member of the Peace River Community Choir and is currently working on her grade 10 piano.
