About UsThe mission of the PR&DMTA is to further the musical experiences of its members and to encourage them to be life-long learners through an atmosphere of mutual respect and cooperation. The PR&DMTA works to promote and enrich music in our communities through workshops, professional development activities and performances.
Several members are also members of other music education and professional groups such as APTA (Alberta Piano Teacher's Association), ARMTA (Alberta Registered Teacher's Association), AMEF (Alberta Music Education Foundation) and ABA (Alberta Band Association). There is no membership fee to belong to the PR&DMTA. We meet on occasion as the need arises to discuss items of mutual interest and plan activities which are beneficial to our students, the community and our own professional development.
