How old should a child be before entering them into music lessons?
I think it depends on the child, and it depends on the teacher! Most teachers like to start children when they are school aged (so that they are ready to learn to read music), but many teachers, especially those who subscribe to the Suzuki or Kodaly methods believe in immersing the child in the music first, then teaching them to read, so they accept students much younger! I think that if the child has a desire to learn and can sit and pay attention for the standard 30 minute lesson, then they should start! My son started piano and violin when he was 4, but only 15 minute lessons! :)
Nice one info, thanks

HI, I was wondering if there are any drum instructors in the Peace River area?
Sorry Rhonda, none that we know of within our organization.
Hey, just wondering if anyone offers saxophone lessons in the area?
None within our organization, sorry!
I am wondering if anyone has one possibly two openings for piano lessons for two girls aged 8 and 11 for beginner lessons starting in January 2016 ?
You can just click on individual teachers and contact them directly - most usually start in September and are booked up throughout the year, but sometimes have spaces mid-year.
Do you accept mature enrolees
Many teachers have mature students - you can contact individual teachers directly depending on what type of lessons you intend on taking and in which community!
Hi. Do you know of anyone who offers guitar lessons for adults?
We unfortunately are is short supply for guitar teachers who belong to our association! The only one I know of is Donna Brunham in Peace River.
